Off Road Tire / Wheel Equipment
- To handle the really tough job of removing the extra large tires from the rims of off-road vehicles, such as dump trucks and wheel loaders, then mounting the tire back onto the rim, Maruma developed the MTM-100, Giant Tire Demounting and Mounting Machine. Now, one person can quickly and efficiently remove the tire from the rim and remount the tire onto the rim with the use of the electro-hydraulic powered, 100 ton capacity MTM-100. The difficult and time consuming task of separating the tire bead from the rim of large tires can be done quickly and without damage to the tire when utilizing the MTM-100.
- Disassembling and assembling time is greatly reduced compared to other manual methods. For example, for a 33.00 x 51 class tire, the complete work can be done in about 60 minutes, not including the time required to repair the rim or tire. Isn’t it time to improve the efficiency and productivity of your workshop?

GIANT TIRE DEMOUNTING AND MOUNTING MACHINE
DEMOUNTING PROCEDURE
The lower demounting shoes are placed on the 4 legs of the stand.
The grapple head lifts the tire and rim assembly by means of an overhead crane and is placed onto the ram of the stand. The 4 lower demounting shoes are positioned to hold the lower side ring.
The grapple arms are removed and the upper demounting shoes are positioned to depress the bead seat ring, enabling the removal of the lock ring and O-ring.
The grapple head has been intentionally removed so that the removal of the lock ring and O-ring by means of a tire lever can be seen.
Next, with the grapple head in place, the bead set ring is separated from the rim by pressing the upper de- mounting shoe onto the rim.
The grapple arms are removed and the upper demounting shoes are positioned to depress the bead seat ring, enabling the removal of the lock ring and O-ring.
Using the overhead crane, the tire is lifted off the stand by the grapple head assembly and separated from the rim.
